Chickmaglur

Chickmaglur District in Karntaka falls in Malnad region. Malnad refers to the western ghat region of Karnataka which is filled with dense evergreen forest and a number of Coffee and Tea estates. Malnad starts from Coorg in South Karnataka and covers western parts of Hassan, Chickmaglur, Shimoga districts and ends in Uttara Kannada district bordering Goa.
You can visit Malnad region round the year. But the best time to visit Malnad region is either in Rainy season when you have plenty of water falls to see on the way or in winter during the Coffee plucking time.

Chickmaglur District has a lot of fmaous tourist places like Sringeri, Horanadu, Kalasa, Kudremukha, Kemmanagundi, Mulanagiri, Hebbe Falls, etc
